3. Salary Details : Pay scale and in hand Amount

1. Boat captain -

as well Government norms Rs : 45000 to 55000

2. Engine mechanic -

The in hand salary is an estimate and includes basic pay, grade pay, and various allowances (DA, HRA,etc) as per state Government rules.It will increase overtime.

4. Eligibility criteria : Age limit and educational qualification

1. Age limit has on 30/09/2025

      •  Minimum Age 18 years 

      •  Maximum Age 55 years 

Age relaxation : Applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates as per Karnataka Government rules. Please check the official notification for exact relaxation details.

2. Educational qualification 

     • Boat Captain : Must possess a valid Boat Captain licence issued by the competent authority. Experience in operating marine vessels is prepared.

    • Engine mechanic : ITI certificate in motor mechanic or diesel mechanic or equivalent. Experience in repairing boat engines is highly desirable. 

   • Seamen : Must have SSLC (10th standard) or equivalent knowledge of swimming is mandatory.

5. Application fees

     • General OBC Rs : 500 

     • SC ST category Rs : 250
